First time hunting lease – on 120 acres in Ringgold
County, IA. Top 1/2 of the farm is loaded with wildlife. Deer signs
(rubs, scrapes, runs, and bedding areas) are everywhere. This property
is one small soybean field west of the Sun Valley Lake complex. The deer
are running back and forth across the dirt road (bordering this farm on
the west.) In fact the neighbor has built 1/4 mile of deer fence to
protect seedling trees planted. One mile to the southeast (see location
map below) is a very large DNR-managed public hunting area, which is
sure to pressure deer into the area of this farm.
Timber can be easily accessed from multiple points on the boundaries.
We have a knowledgeable landowner and a cooperative FNC farm manager
involved. This one is the real deal.
